Kampi Tunjungan Surabaya

This is the first brand new Kampi Hotel, born from Santika Hotel Group, that have an unique identity between her siblings. Previously designed for Bed and Breakfast Amaris Hotel, but on progress, the owner thought Amaris hotels in Surabaya is already exceeded the number for the 2nd largest city in Indonesia. On the halfway through, owner and operator comes up with new brand, which have different identity from the other brand. Circa 2017, there’s some hotels already offer many styles, such as artsy, young, contemporary budget and luxury style.

As Design Consultant who will apply the theme, we proposed Kampi should be unique, stylish, dare to be different and avant-garde from the other, and become style-literate people place to enjoy. ‘Cool’ is the main keyword, because cool is above ‘good’!

Located at the heritage and preservative area and heart of the city, the interior theme inspired by colonialism era in Indonesia. Using square tile ceiling, decorative ceramic tile floor and emphasized with wooden panel with it’s semi classic profiles, gives the hotel retro-style.

Customized Carpet Pattern for the Meeting Room inspired from the Art-deco style, but still have modern looks and not outdated.

Semi open lounge for relaxing at the poolside, brings warmth and casual feelings for the guest. Natural wood arm chair, pale blue sofa and natural rattan weaved pendant lamp gives tropical beach resort ambience.

Natural open pore wood panel with semi classic profiles for the bedhead make this 18 sqm rooms doesn’t look cheap, instead it is stylish and edgy. Metal frame rattan chair, brass table lamp and brass door signage make you feels at 1940’s British Hotel.
